Jason Wahler is sober

Since breaking up with his “Laguna Beach�? and “The Hills�? co-star Lauren Conrad, 20-year-old Jason Wahler has gotten into a lot of trouble. He’s had numerous run-ins with the cops and he even played an infamous game of Russian roulette. But in April the reality TV star checked into rehab for alcohol abuse and he’s says he’s changed.

Jason went to Chapman House for rehabilitation four days after being arrested for punching a hotel security guard in Seattle. Before rehab he claims he drank heavily about four times a week. He told People magazine that it was tough adjusting to life at Chapman House: "It's exhausting, but after I started getting back to my senses, it was cool to get up in the morning and not be all hurting."

Wahler said, "I did try drugs, but it was never my thing. It was alcohol, for sure. It would take me about 10 drinks before that other side came out. It's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."

Of his two arrests, Wahler said, "I'm embarrassed as hell, but I really do not remember my arrests. They're blackouts. And that's scary." He seems ambivalent about being sober, stating, “I'm only 20. And to say that I can't drink ever again – even on my 21st birthday – is hard. But I don't care, as long as I'm healthy and happy."
