British rag, The Sun, reports that Mel B is also scheduled to attend the court hearing. If they cross paths, it will be the first time the two have come face to face since Eddie dumped Mel B. during a live television interview in Germany a while back. That's when Murphy originally suggested that he should take a paternity test, but this marks his first actual attempt to do so.
Eddie is supposed to be in London promoting Shrek The Third with fellow cast mates Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake but the Los Angeles judge hearing this case was not having it.
A source tells the paper, "If he tries to duck out of this test there will be all hell to pay.
"This isn't just another girlfriend he is messing around, this is his own flesh and blood.
"He has left her with no choice. She doesn't want Angel to grow up questioning who her father is.
"At least this way they will know officially whether Eddie is the daddy or not and move on from there. This isn't about the money, it's about Angel knowing for sure who her dad is."
The Sun also reports that Mel prepared for her day in court with drinks and a meal with fab former Spice Girl band mate Victoria Beckham. She's clearly not the least bit worried. If Mel B's composure gives any hints, Eddie better brace his bank account for those child support checks!
