Eddie Murphy is Melanie Brown's baby daddy

Melanie Brown has been vindicated. An insider has revealed to People magazine that Eddie Murphy is the father of the former Spice Girl's daughter. Murphy and Brown dated last year, shortly after which Brown became pregnant. When asked about the pregnancy publicly, however, Murphy denied that the child was his and demanded a paternity test.

When it came time to actually get tested, however, Brown had to force Murphy by getting a court order. Murphy finally submitted to a DNA test on June 11. Brown's rep confirmed to People magazine that her client is now in possession of the results.

An insider said, "He's the baby's father, it's official. The baby is undoubtedly, 110 percent his…There was no doubt in people's minds anyways, least of all [Melanie's]. It wasn't a surprise to her. She knew all along."

Brown stubbornly named her daughter Angel Iris Murphy. In an interview with People in May, Brown said, "[Eddie] hasn't seen his daughter. My people have contacted his people and they just had no response to anything."
