The details surrounding Brits drop from the tour are very sketchy. A representative for the tour told the NY Post that she "was invited to appear on the first date in Las Vegas but we never heard from her."
That report is contrary to Brits choreographer Misha Gabriel's reports earlier in the week that said the "Toxic" singer was planning to join Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry, Erasure, The Dresden Dolls and The MisShapes on stage this weekend in Los Angeles.
The other and likelier report is that Brit herself failed to accept the offer to join the "True Colors" tour. It's being reported that she decided not to appear because her recent comeback performances have been plagued by rumors that she lip-syncs her entire set and now the girls has developed a phobia of singing live.
Another source told the New York Post newspaper, "Britney said she would only dance or lip-sync and to be on stage with Cyndi, you have to actually perform. It's not happening now."
Earlier this week, Britney's choreographer Misha Gabriel revealed the 25-year-old was planning to join Lauper, Debbie Harry, Erasure, The Dresden Dolls and The MisShapes on stage this weekend.
We're very saddened to hear Brit won't be joining the pro-queer performers onstage as well as the pro-queerest gal backstage. Former View co-host Rosie O'Donnell recently wrote on her blog, "Brit, honey, you and me - we're gonna share, like, a backstage moment, 'cause I love you, kid!"
