ANNOUNCMENT ON SPICE GIRLS REUNION TODAY

British newspaper, The Sun reports that British pop sensation The Spice Girls today will announce a press conference for next week, where they will finally reveal that they are reuniting.

Apparently Mel B, Victoria Bekcham, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell have persuaded Mel C to set aside her solo project for the new group effort.

Mel C has freed up her busy promotion schedule for the next few weeks cancelling several commitments in order to spice it up with her former bandmates.

The paper also reports that management company 19, who coordinated the reunion, recently purchased the web domain spicegirlsofficial.com in expectation of the groups return to the spotlight.

The Sun also notes that there's no word yet on whether the girls will keep their nicknames (Posh, Baby, Sporty, Scary and Ginger) or ditch them for new and more appropriate names that correspond to their more matures status.

Three of them have had children within the last seven years of the Spice Girls hiatus and Emma is due to give birth any day now.

Also revealed by The Sun is that the girls have been in the studio recording a new single and plan to re-release their greatest hits.
