Paris Hilton's lawyers have decided to throw in the towel. They will no longer be pursuing an appeal to her 45-day jail sentence. After yesterday's decision from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department to decrease Hilton's sentence to 23 days and to allow her to stay in a celebrity cell, her attorneys have opted to accept their client's fate.
According to TMZ.com, one of Hilton's lawyers, Richard Hutton filed a document with the court that abandoned the planned appeal. The legal team had planned to file the appeal Thursday afternoon, but someone from Hutton's office called the court this morning to cancel.

Paris's sentence must start by June 5, according to a judge's orders. While incarcerated, the heiress will stay in a "special needs housing unit" at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California. These units are reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, stated a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Department.
