Orlando Bloom talks about split from Kate Bosworth

Orlando Bloom tends to be private about his personal life, but he's finally ready to dish on his break up with Kate Bosworth last fall. The couple, who dated off and on for four years, claimed their split was due to their conflicting schedules.

While promoting his new movie, Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End, Bloom spoke to Britain's Daily Mirror. He said, "Kate was on one side of the world, in Australia shooting Superman, and I was on the other, in the Bahamas for Pirates. So we tried giving each other a bit of time out. And, well, there were difficulties. There are in any relationship...In our case, it was extremely unfortunate that everything was on public display. I have always tried to keep my cards close to my chest - while wearing my heart on my sleeve - but it is a really hard thing to do...We're still very good friends, but there's no denying that it had been a difficult year for us both."

Since they called it quits, Orlando has been linked to Penelope Cruz - who is now rumored to be dating Josh Hartnett. Kate meanwhile, has been seeing model James Rousseau.
