Nick Cannon proposes to Victoria's Secret model

Cannon, 26, and Ebanks, 24, had attended that night's Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Gala and were both dressed to the nines. From there, the couple were taken via chauffeured Rolls Royce to Times Square. Nick then got down on one knee for a surprised Selita and presented her with a 12-carat, $400,000 diamond ring, says his rep. On MTV's jumbotron were the words, "Selita, will you marry me?"

The couple, who have been dating for three months, celebrated their new engagement at Butter. At the NYC hotspot, Nick surprised Selita again: he had flown in her parents and best friends - along with his own mother - for the occasion. There were a few celebrities in attendance as well, including Zach Braff, Marc Ecko, Tommy Hilfiger, Jacob the Jeweler and Young Jeezy.

"I have been smiling so much my cheeks hurt. The ring is so beautiful. I was so surprised," Selita told Us Weekly. Nick said, "I feel great! It all went off as good as planned. I am so happy!"
