Us Magazine has new details on Mischa Barton's hospital visit.

Attending a barbecue at her friend Masha Gordon’s L.A. home May 27, Mischa Barton fell ill after mixing antibiotics and a “s—tload�? of alcohol, says a source close to the star.

After the claims, Perez Hilton reported that recreational drugs may have been involved (the actress was photographed smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette on May 20 in Cannes, France), but the source insists there was nothing “truly toxic�? in her system.

Mischa, 21, was prescribed antibiotics for bronchitis, which she contracted while partying at the Cannes Film Festival last week.

“Her face turned completely white, and she spent over 30 minutes in the bathroom,�? says a party guest. “It was really scary.�?

Things got so bad that the former O.C. star, 21, was rushed by ambulance to Sherman Oaks Hospital, where her family – including younger sister Hania, 19 – was waiting.

"She is fine now," said a statement from her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik. The statement said Barton left Tuesday for an undisclosed overseas location to begin work on a new movie.

The brunette beauty recently finished shooting 'St. Trinian's', a remake of the spoof film series of the 50s and 60s about a strict British boarding school for girls.

She is also set to start filming 'Malice in Sunderland', a modern take on the classic fairytale, 'Alice in Wonderland', set in the North East of England, later this year.
