Mischa Barton rushed to hospital

Beauty Mischa Barton was rushed to hospital after suffering an adverse reaction to medication.

According to TMZ, the former "OC" star was at a friend's Memorial Day BBQ enjoying a few holiday cocktails when she began to feel extremely ill.

Mischa, has been quite sick with bronchitis since traveling to Cannes, London and Paris the past several weeks.

According to reports, the actress was released from the hospital about five hours later, after being advised to rest.

A representative for the 21-year-old actress said that she is now "feeling much better".

Last week, the actress was photographed smoking a cannabis joint at the Cannes Film Festival.

The star was pictured by the News Of The World sparking up the small hand-rolled cigarette on a yacht in the French resport, before going off to chat and a giggle with fellow actress Sharon Stone reports Entertainment Wise
