Lindsay Lohan has entered rehab for the second time this year, her publicist has confirmed. In a statement, the rep said, "Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."
Lohan’s rehabilitation program will take place at Promises in Malibu, the same clinic that Britney Spears stayed at earlier this year. Lohan’s lawyer took her to Promises on Monday at 4:30 pm, following a debauchery-filled Memorial Day weekend, which fleeing from the scene of a car accident, a DUI arrest and a photographed collapse at Teddy’s nightclub.
Unlike Lindsay’s previous rehab program at Wonderland in January, Promises utilizes "a serious medical treatment program," a source told TMZ.com.
Of Lindsay’s arrest, a friend told Us Weekly, “She’s a troubled girl. Maybe this will be her wake-up call, but at this point, we don’t know. A source close to the Lohan family told People magazine, "She's doing the best she can. We are all praying for her."
