Lily Allen considered liposuction
British pop sensation Lily Allen may be known for her hit song "Smile," but on the inside, she's not so happy. The 22-year-old posted a very troubling message on her MySpace blog on Saturday in which she laments being "chubby" and claims she has considered plastic surgery. Allen's full post is entitled, "fat, ugly and shitter than winehouse." It reads, "that is all i am , im on my own in america again . I used to pride myself on being strong minded and not being some stupid girl obsessed with the way I look . I felt like it didnt matter if I was a bit chubby cause , im not a model , I'm a singer . Im afraid I am not strong and have fallen victim to the evil machine . I write to you in a sea of tears from my hotel bed in Seattle , I have spent the past hour researching gastric bypass surgery , and laser lipo suction ." Lily's rep spoke to People magazine and said, "It's important to know that the whole power of her blogs is that they are a very direct communication of how she is feeling at that time. I spoke to her today and she is feeling a lot better about things." The blog post was a departure for Allen, who is usually outspoken about the dangers of Hollywood's obsession with thinness. When asked about her new clothing line for British retailer New Look, she said, "All my dresses are supergirlie but that doesn't mean you have to be a size zero. The more curves the better! Fashion is for everyone, not just super-skinny models." |
