Jessica Simpson’s body may be a wonderland, but John Mayer has had enough of it. The pair have called off their relationship.

It’s hard to tell what went wrong, but there are many theories floating around. One source for the New York Daily News claims John didn’t like Jessica’s revealing outfits, while another said that the couple’s constant “separations were difficult."

A tattler told InTouch Weekly, "She still loves him, but he's not stable. He's scared of commitment.�? But Us Weekly’s snitch said, "[John] was just over her. He wasn't into her anymore. He was ready to move on.�? And their may have been another woman. An insider told NYDN that John "was always seeing [a Los Angeles model named Caroline] anyway."

Mayer doesn’t seem to be taking the break up too badly. In fact, he appeared to be quite content to be single again at Stereo on Thursday. According to a source for NYDN, the singer was "hitting on every super-skinny girl there and only the really skinny ones." A source for Perez Hilton said, "He was way tipsy and was spending a lot of time with an ugly brunette that was not Jessica.�?

But perhaps there’s hope for the couple. An insider told NYDN that "they've broken up about a dozen times this year, and they've always come back together. They're adorable together." And InTouch claims the pair reunited in New York on Sunday. “They definitely went on a date last night," said a friend of Simpson’s. An onlooker who saw Mayer leaving Simpson’s hotel on Monday said, "He was looking really happy. He couldn't stop smiling."
