 | | Gisele Bundchen leaves Victoria's Secret | | |  | Supermodel Gisele Bundchen must not have found being a Victoria's Secret Angel to be that heavenly. The 26-year-old Brazilian's contract with the lingerie company has ended and she will not be renewing it. Bundchen's agent confirmed the news to People magazine, stating, "Gisele's contract is finished."
The decision can't have been an easy one for Gisele, who has commented in the past about how close she has become with her employer. At last year's Victoria's Secret fashion show, she told People, "They're really nice clients. I've been working with them for seven years, so it's kind of like they become part of your family."
Page Six broke the news of Bundchen's departure from the Victoria's Secret family. The gossip column claimed that Bundchen decided to end her reign as queen of the Victoria's Secret catalog when the company would not give her a raise on her $5 million-a-year salary. An insider told Page Six, "Her demands were outrageous. She got a new lawyer who was unrealistic. Victoria's Secret doesn't care. They have five new hotter, younger girls debuting next year. And they won't have to deal with any craziness."
