Britney Spears Snubs Ailing Mom

Britney Spears feud with her mother has deteriorated from bad to worse! According to the Enquirer, Lynne Spears was rushed to the hospital two days before Mother's Day- but her coldhearted daughter cruelly snubbed her, refusing to visit or even call her!

The troubled pop princess is still furious at her mother for "tricking" her into entering rehab, sources say, and has callously cut her out of her life.

"Britney has cut off all communication with her mom," divulged a friend of the 25 year old singer. "She's gone from calling Lynne 10 times a day to flat out refusing to speak to her. You'd think Britney would put their differences aside and visit her mother in the hospital." "When she was told to give her mom a call, Britney said: I'm busy. I have my own kids now.'"

Lynn, 52, was visiting her youngest daughter, Jamie Lynn, in Santa Clarita, CA., when Lynn was rushed to the hospital on May 11 after the flu she was battling turned into pneumonia, sources say. "Britney hadn't called her mother for her birthday on May 4. Lynne assumed Britney would call her in the hospital because of the seriousness of the situation. But the call never came," says the friend. "Lynne said: 'She missed my birthday, but how could she not call me when I am sick in the hospital?' It brought Lynne to tears."

Sources say the bad blood began when Lynne, K-Fed and other family members convinced Brit to go to Promises in Malibu. With Lynne's encouragement, Kevin told Britney they'd reconcile when she completed rehab, even though he had no intention of doing so. Britney found out and hasn't spoken to her mother since, sources say. "Britney says her mom betrayed her and she refuses to get over it." says her friend.
