The Best Hair-Color MakeOvers
After going dark for the cold months, A-listers are lightening up for Spring. Life & Style chat with celeb colorist Kim Vo, co-owner of B2V Salon in LA. “Hair is an accessory, and it’s the easiest way to make a pretty change for spring.?

1. LINDSAY LOHAN’S BLOND: BRIGHTENS HER FACE

Lindsay Lohan, 20, “traded rocker-bad-girl dark brown for light and bright blond,? says Vo. End result? It works better with her fair skin.

2. DREW BARRYMORE’S HAIR IS SEXIER

Drew Barrymore, 32, went lighter after her breakup with Fabrizio Moretti. High lights warm her pale skin and make her hotter than ever.

3. JESSICA SIMPSON FOUND THE BEST RED

Jessica Simpson’s rich color was great for winter, but the hue is just too heavy for summer, says colorist Vo. The singer, 26, lightened up by about three shades and debuted her new ‘do at LA club Hyde on Feb. 3.

4. JENNIFER LOPEZ LOOKS YOUTHFUL

Jennifer Lopez, 37, lightened her hair about four shades and made the ends even lighter, which draws attention to her beautiful face. The fresh new color works best on those with dark or olive skin.

5. GWYNETH PALTROW GOES FROM MOM- NEXT- DOOR TO ULTRAGLAM

Long baby-blond hair like 34-year-old Gwyneth Paltrow’s is the “ultimate spring accessory,? Vo says, adding, “She doesn’t need earrings or a necklace — the hair itself is the accessory.? This super-light color works best on fair skin like Gwyneth’s.

6. MANDY MOORE’S RED SHADE MAKES HER LOOK MORE GROWN-UP

Actresses usually dye their hair to look younger, but Mandy Moore, 23, “wants to be seen in a different light, and her new amber hair makes her seem more sophisticated,? says Vo. The reddish highlights also bring out the gorgeous pink in Mandy’s cheeks.

7. NICOLE RICHIE’S HIGHLIGHTS BRIGHTEN HER MEDIUM COMPLEXION

Nicole Richie, 25, is back shooting The Simple Life 5 with a new ’do. Her latest shade is a mix of strawberry, amber and blond, but the deepest shade matches her eyes and plays up her olive skin, explains Vo.

8. HALLE BERRY’S NEW COLOR TURNS BACK THE CLOCK

The dark chocolate color Halle Berry, 40, wore this winter was drab, says colorist Kim Vo. The lighter caramel shade and layered haircut accentuate Halle’s dark skin and make the Perfect Stranger star look 10 years younger!

9. POSH’S CALI BLOND IS TRENDY

“She’s getting her hair ready for LA,? says colorist Vo about Victoria Beckham, 33. Posh’s brown hair would have looked dark in the LA light, but her new beach blond is less severe. The paler hue works well on fair and medium skin tones.

10. CAMERON DIAZ’S LIGHTER BROWN FLATTERS HER FAIR SKIN

Cameron Diaz, 34, went lighter so she’d look more sun-kissed. The dark brown washed her out, says celeb colorist Kim Vo. Bonus: “The new color is closer to her natural shade, so Cam can go up to two months without dyeing her hair.?
