Larry Birkhead closer to bringing Dannielynn home!
A source familiar with a custody hearing in the Bahamas this morning, where Birkhead, Howard K. Stern and Virgie Arthur were present, tells Star, “The judge ruled that Larry can take his daughter to the U.S. next week, as long as all the paperwork is in order.? That includes “correcting the birth certificate to show that Larry is the father, and not Howard,? and “getting Dannielynn a U.S. Passport.?
Says the source, “all of that is in the works and should be ready by next week, and Larry can bring his baby home!? Sources tell Star that Birkhead may bring his baby home to Louisvillle, Ky., where his immediate family resides, and is also considering making a home in L.A. Birkhead will return to the Bahamas in early June for another custody hearing, where the judge will rule whether Virgie Arthur, Anna’s mother, has any claim to seeking visitation of Dannielynn and to becoming her guardian in the event of Larry's death. TMZ is reporting that Virgie is trying to block Larry's move to take Dannielynn back to the US., unless Larry agrees to share guardianship with her. In spite of Virgie's demands, Larry has allowed her to visit with the baby, but TMZ says that Larry feels like Virgie is trying to act like she's in the middle of a marital custody dispute. In other news, A Superior Court judge has signed an order releasing attorney Debra Opri from the battle over Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter. The order was signed Monday reports Showbuzz. Opri was hired last year by Larry Birkhead as part of his effort to prove paternity of now 7-month-old Dannielynn. After months of legal wrangling on Birkhead's behalf, Opri suddenly withdrew from the case in March. Smith, 39, died Feb. 8 from a lethal combination of drugs.
