The ‘Girlfriend’ singer and her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley,
bought the Bel-Air home – which has more than ten bathrooms – for $9.5
million.
Real estate broker Arnold Horland claims Avril - said: "She
had to have it."
Avril, 22, and Deryck, 27, married last July.
The ‘Sk8r Boi’ singer considered a goth wedding, but eventually plumped for
a traditional one.
She said: "I wanted to say, 'Let's totally have a rock 'n' roll, goth
wedding.'

"But at the same time I thought, 'I've been dreaming about my wedding day
since I was a little girl. I have to wear the white dress. I wanted to be a
princess.’ �
Avril Lavigne will release The Best Damn Thing - her eagerly awaited third full-length studio album -- on Tuesday, April 17, on RCA Records. The Best Damn Thing is the Canadian pop-punk dynamo's first album since 2004's eight-million selling Under My Skin.
The new album includes the single "Girlfriend," which was co-written by Lavigne. Thanks to digital sales, "Girlfriend" debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 chart at Number Five (Lavigne's highest debut ever)
"Girlfriend" has been viewed nearly 10 million times on video-sharing site YouTube.
