Tom Cruise still acting

Tom Cruise is set to star in a film based on the 1944 attempt to assassinate Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
The 'Mission: Impossible' actor was originally only going to produce the wartime thriller, but was convinced by director Bryan Singer to star in it as well.
The film, which has yet to be given a title, focuses on the true story of a plot by German soldiers to kill the dictator.
Tom's production partner said in a statement: "After reading the script, Tom and I knew immediately that this was a film we had to make. As an added bonus, because of Bryan Singer's involvement and Tom's admiration for him as a filmmaker, as well as the excellence of the script, the project attracted Tom as an actor."

Tom is currently filming 'Lions For Lambs' with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, due out at the end of the year.
Tom's wife Katie Holmes is also about to return to work after taking time out to have their daughter, Suri. Katie will start filming crime comedy caper 'Mad Money' in April.

Speaking of Katie, Tom Cruise has reportedly told Katie Holmes to cut back on shopping.
The Hollywood actor is rumored to be unhappy at his new wife’s constant shopping sprees.

According to reports, Katie recently spent a whopping $200,000 in one visit to Barney’s department store in Beverley Hills recently. As well as buying clothes for herself and her baby daughter Suri she bought two pairs of designer shoes for her best friend Victoria Beckham reports FemaleFirst.

A friend of Holmes told Grazia:" Katie looks like she has been moping about having to curtail he shopping sprees. She said Tom wants her to take a break as he thinks it might be sending out the wrong message. He certainly doesn’t have to worry about money and Katie is not on a budget- it seems he doesn’t want people to think she is frivolous and all about shopping and money."
