"Miss Hilton was cited for a suspended license violation and released in the field. Her 2007 blue Bentley Continental GTC was impounded," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Oscar Butao said.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff's department deputy said: "She was speeding
down Sunset Boulevard without headlights.
"She was pulled over and deputies discovered she was driving with a
suspended licence."
Hilton's latest run-in with the law comes after she was convicted last month for alcohol-related reckless driving.
Paris pleaded no contest to a charge of reckless driving.
She was placed on probation for 36 months and must also pay a $390 fine and
attend an alcohol education program.
Two weeks before accepting her reckless driving charge, the hotel heiress
pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence
(DUI) and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
Paris claimed she hadn't eaten all day and had only drunk one margarita
cocktail at a party, before leaving to get a burger. She said she was
driving erratically because she was so hungry.
The Los Angeles city attorney's office said it would request that Hilton's probation be revoked once it checks the police citation for the latest incident.
"Once our office is able to verify that Miss Hilton was driving, we will request that the court revoke her probation and set a probation violation hearing," said Nick Velasquez, spokesperson for the city attorney's office.
Hilton could face up to 90 days in jail if she is found in violation of probation, Velasquez said.
Paris' publicist, Elliot Mintz, said: "She was leaving the car park which is
brightly lit and she had not noticed her headlights were not activated.
"If it is the case her licence has been suspended, she was not aware of it."
