Leonardo DiCaprio's bodyguards arrested in Israel

On Sunday, Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend of about one year, Bar Refaeli arrived in Israel - Bar's home country. According to Star magazine, the lovebirds made the trip so that 32-year-old Leo could meet 21-year-old Bar's parents. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a low-key visit turned into a media frenzy when two of Leo's bodyguards were arrested in a skirmish with some paparazzi in Jerusalem.

Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports that the arrests took place on Monday after DiCaprio and Refaeli toured Jerusalem's Western Wall tunnels together. Micky Rosenfeld, a spokesman for the Israel Police, told Haaretz that some photographers that learned of the couple's visit to the tunnels were waiting for them when they emerged. Rosenfeld confirmed, "Two of his [DiCaprio's] security guards were arrested by police after being involved in a fight that broke out. They are being questioned."

Bar's mother issued a statement about the incident, which read, "We are saddened [by] this incident and [that] instead of…being proud of the fact that Leo came to see the Jewish heritage the photographers are dealing with unimportant issues. In spite of that, we are having a wonderful time and so is Leo."
