Heather Mills could be charged with trespassing after breaking into a pig
farm to highlight animal cruelty.
Heather led a team of activists from the vegetarian group Viva! in a raid on
Somerset's Bridgewater Farm, two weeks ago.

The group filmed their break-in to expose the "cruel conditions" the animals
live in.
Owner of the compound, Michael Underhill, claims the stunt has made his pigs
sick because they were exposed to a disease brought onto his property by the
campaigners.
He is also threatening to take legal action against the group for
trespassing.
Heather, 39, and her cohorts targeted Bridgewater Farm because of the
owner's use of farrowing crates - narrow pens used to house sows while they
give birth and nurture their piglets.
Although the crates are legal and widely used worldwide, Viva! want them
outlawed.
Video footage of the raid shows Heather putting on overalls and disinfecting
her boots before entering the compound.
She insists she has done nothing illegal.

In other news, Heather Mills says she is the victim of a campaign of vilification by the press as she divorces Paul McCartney reports AP.

"There is a huge agenda behind trying to destroy me and put me down," Mills told British Broadcasting Corp. television Thursday. The 39-year-old activist has complained of being harassed and vilified by the media - and of receiving death threats - since she and McCartney, 64, separated last May after four years of marriage. The couple, who have a three-year-old daughter, Beatrice, began divorce proceedings in July.

"I'm not a publicity seeker ... I haven't gone 'round promoting things to finance my own pockets," Mills said during an interview to promote a campaign against the use of farrowing crates in pig farming.

"But there are huge powers, I don't have that powerful system that he has," she said. "There are huge powers that create these things for reasons of their own."

Nonetheless, she said: "I'll always love Paul."

"He's the father of my child and I'll always have strong feelings for him."
