Halle Berry attempted suicide

Even the beautiful people feel blue sometimes. Halle Berry recently admitted to attempting suicide after her split from first husband, baseball player David Justice. The couple were married in 1992 and divorced in 1997.

Berry revealed the shocking secret about her suicide attempt in an interview with Parade magazine. At the time she was at an all-time low since her relationship with the Atlanta Braves star went south so she tried to gas herself. Berry said, "I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming when I had an image of my mother finding me. She sacrificed so much for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to do. It was all about a relationship. My sense of worth was so low. I promised myself I would never be a coward again."

Halle spoke about the problems in her second marriage to singer Eric Benet as well. She said their union, which ended in 2005, was "really horrific...We were in sex rehab after one year. I wish I had left then, but I was putting everyone's needs before mine."
