Christina Aguilera to guest star on "CSI: New York"

It's been more than 10 years since Christina Aguilera really tested her acting chops as a Mousketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club alongside now famous actors Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell. And though her 2004 gig hosting an episode of "Saturday Night Life" showed the Christina has what it takes to be an actress herself, she has yet to really get her feet wet in the field. It looks like Aguilera may finally be warming up to the idea of becoming a singer/actress, though, as she has signed on to play a role on "CSI: New York."

The show's executive producer Anthony Zuiker said, "Christina's a fan of the show, and we're excited to have her. The episode will probably explore the topic of battered women." The topic will hit home for Christina who grew up in a home of abuse. She has also publicly campaigned against domestic violence.
