Britney Spears's ex lover, Justin Timberlake wants to help her make a music
comeback.
The 'SexyBack' singer's producer Timbaland has begged Justin to help him
rebuild Britney's once illustrious career.
Timbaland, 34, told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "I feel her pain, it
really bothers me. I'm the type of person who tries to save the world. I
just want to take her away, go overseas, and work it out.
"I asked Justin, 'How would you feel about me working with Britney?' I had
to ask him that. I said, 'Would you do it with me?'
"He said he would. Britney's just got to be serious. I just want to hold her
hand. I want her to be in my camp, to be around Justin. I need Justin to
talk to her. Help her, please!"'
Britney, 25, and Justin, 26, met while starring in Disney TV show 'The
Mickey Mouse Club' and dated for four years until 2002.
Britney's label Jive Records are yet to comment on Timbaland's musical
lifeline.
The 'Oops. I Did It Again' singer is currently being treated at Malibu's
Promises rehab center for drug and alcohol problems.
Britney’s months of all-night partying came to an end when she checked herself into Promises Rehabilitation Center on Feb. 21, but a source says that two days after she entered the program, “Brit was at her lowest point and tried to commit suicide with her bed sheets reports Star Magazine. The only comforting news amidst all of this nightmarish behavior is that with the star installed at Promises (for now, at least), she and her loved ones are finally starting to understand the medical problems before her meltdown. And they’re learning that, as first reported by Star, the main problem is likely bipolar disorder.
Sources say that efforts to treat Britney have been complicated by the discovery of a second disease – bulimia. “She has been making herself throw up while at the rehab center, said an insider. “She is on medication for bipolar disorder, but the pills are not staying in her system because she is bulimic and is throwing them up before they can help her! “Among the questions asked at Promises was ‘Do you feel insecure about your body? Do you often throw up after eating? said a source familiar with the program. “Britney answered ‘yes’ to both questions, and said she had been throwing up since she was 16.
In other news, Britney’s problems have forced everyone around her to reevaluate their relationships with the troubled star reports Star . That includes executives at her recording label, Jive, who sources tell Star were ready to dump Brit until Justin Timberlake stepped in. A source close to the label tells Star that Justin has assured Jive bigs that Britney still has a hit album in her. “He’s putting his reputation on the line, says the industry insider. Her comeback album, previously due in the second half of 2007, has been removed from Jive’s release schedule. “Justin bought Britney a little more time, says the source. “But Jive expects Brit in the studio a week or two after leaving rehab.
