Beckham won't play soccer for six weeks
Real Madrid soccer star David Beckham won't be playing soccer any time soon. He has been benched for the next six weeks following a knee injury that he sustained in Madrid on Sunday night while playing against Getafe. An insider told People magazine, "David has suffered ligament damage in his right leg. It's not good news but it could have been a lot worse." Beckham got the injury when he ran into some advertising signs near Getafe's goal. At the time he was reaching for the ball. He attempted to continue playing after the injury, but had to leave the field in the 63rd minute. |
