Slater and Johansson deny romances with Diaz and Timberlake

It seemed like Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake had only been broken up for a few days when the first rumors of their rebound romances sprung up. Justin was quickly linked to the star of his "What Goes Around...Comes Around" video, Scarlett Johansson. Cameron, meanwhile, was seen vacationing in Hawaii with pro-surfer Kelly Slater. According to Johansson and Slater, however, their relationship with the newly single stars were purely platonic.

Scarlett and Justin had tongues wagging last weekend when they showed up at a Super Bowl afterparty together in Miami. Then, last night, Scarlett was at the Grammys, where Justin performed. But the actress was quick to dispel any gossip about their being more than friends. On the Grammy red carpet, Scarlett told Giuliana DePandi of E!, "We have a lot of friends in common, and Justin's a sweetheart, and it's always good to see him, but there's a lot of speculation and I try not to read that stuff. I think when two people are single and are seen together, it's immediately like a crazy feeding frenzy."

Kelly Slater denied any romantic involvement with Cameron Diaz to People magazine last week while he was at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Tournament. He said, "We're just friends." Slater, who dated supermodel Gisele Bunchen, didn't say much more about his friendship with Diaz, but her did claim that "she's doing well."
