Olivier, 41, hugged and kissed Penelope, 32, at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont
Hotel on Saturday (03.02.07) - the same hotel where he fell in love with
Kylie reports Female First.
An onlooker tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, "You wouldn't have thought he'd just split with the love of his life. This beautiful woman jumped into this car and they sped off. He looked very comfortable and happy - not remotely upset."
The pair issued a statement last Friday saying, "Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple.
"They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable. The media's false accusations of disloyalty have saddened them both. The two remain very close friends."
A close friend of Kylie's revealed to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper:
"Kylie is a very sensitive woman who loved him with all her heart but he
looks like he doesn't have a care in the world.
"He clearly isn't worried about her feelings. He approached Penelope seconds
after she had sat down to have lunch with her friends."
Kylie, 38, suspected the romance was over when Olivier failed to join her in
Australia for the start of her 'Showgirl Homecoming' tour last November -
instead choosing to play a polo match in India.
A friend added: "She said at the time, 'I know its over but I can't think
about it until my tour has ended.'
"That was the moment of truth for her. It wasn't the rumors of other women,
although that hurt her deeply. It was the realization that Olivier just wasn't
committed to their relationship. He wasn't prepared to join her for the
most important concert of her life."
Kylie - who battled breast cancer in 2005 - and Olivier's relationship was
constantly tested by rumors of infidelity.
Rumors he had romanced Israeli model Sarai Givati allegedly proved to be
the final staw and the couple split just weeks after Olivier and Sarai, 24,
were seen at a Hollywood hotel together.
