A friend of Minogue's told People magazine, "She is having a great time. She seems really pleased with the exhibit and is having fun…It is not a case of brushing aside all that has been going on. She is simply having fun tonight." When asked about Martinez, the singer referred to him as her "friend" and said, "It's all good."
Unfortunately, happiness has been fleeting for Kylie lately. Following her break up, she came to some harsh realizations about her dreams for the future. An insider told the Daily Mail, "To say that her biological clock is ticking sounds so cliched - but sadly it's true… Quite simply, Kylie was convinced that Olivier was 'the One' because he'd stood by her throughout her cancer ordeal. Rumours that he cheated on her are really hurtful but for Kylie, the thought that she might never have kids is the most upsetting thing of all."
Kylie's chemotherapy to combat her breast cancer seems to have hurt her chances at conceiving. The Mail reports, "She is said to have been left distraught after two failed attempts at IVF and last year she had slivers of her ovaries taken out and frozen, to be re-implanted over the next few years in the hope that they will start releasing eggs."
And the paper's source adds, "[Kylie] does, of course, have other options - adoption or surrogacy for instance - but without a long-term partner by her side, these possibilities are incredibly daunting."
