The Number 23's director, Joel Schumacher also weighed in on Jim's relationship, stating, "This is the happiest I've ever seen Jim, and we've been friends for a really long time."
So if Jim's so happy, why isn't he going to pop the question? He told "Access Hollywood," "We're never getting married, but we're never getting divorced, which is fantastic." When "AH's" Shaun Robinson asked Carrey about buying McCarthy a ring, he said, "I bought her a Chloe purse. Isn't that good enough? For God's sake."
If Jenny starts itching for a ring and Jim's not ready to give her one, there's one thing that he might be able to do to get her to stick around: get a tattoo. During his press conference when a reporter asked about the giant tattoo he sports in The Number 23, Jim said, "Jenny liked it! It was weird – it's amazing what a tattoo does for a girl."
