"She's rail thin," says a source of Angelina Jolie, who is estimated to carry just 118 pounds on her 5'7" frame, while 140 pounds is the norm for her height. "You're afraid to hug her because she might break."
. "Angelina Jolie doesn't seem to have a healthy appetite," says a source. "When she's depressed or stressed, it's worse."
Right now, Angie is likely both, since mom Marcheline Bertrand lost her battle with ovarian cancer. "When someone close dies, everything changes, including your physical habits," explains Russell Friedman, co-author of The Grief Recovery Handbook. "It's common to not eat. It just doesn't seem important to some people who are grieving."
It seems that even before her mom's death, food wasn't that important to Angelina Jolie. She reportedly fainted three times last October while shooting A Mighty Heart in India, and a source told Star at the time, "she's been surviving on trail mix."
In other news, Angelina Jolie allegedly vowed to marry boyfriend Brad Pitt, after making a promise to her dying mother.
Jolie and Pitt were both at Marcheline Bertrand's bedside when she lost her seven-year battle with ovarian cancer last week at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Jolie is reported to have made the pledge hours before her beloved mother's passing, sparking speculation of a marriage within months.
A source close to the family tells Britain's the Sunday Express, "Marcheline held Angie's hand and told her, 'You marry that man. He's an angel sent to look after you.'
"Marcheline almost looked on him as a son. She thought the world of him and was constantly nagging Angie to 'wed that man.'"
