Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan split

Hugh Grant is back in the spotlight with his new movie, Music And Lyrics, co-starring Drew Barrymore. The movie opened on Valentine's Day, a day when most people are celebrating romance, but Hugh decided to end his instead.

Grant's rep confirmed to People magazine that the actor and his heiress girlfriend, Jemima Khan are no longer together. The flack said, "Hugh and Jemima have decided to split amicably."

Hugh and Jemima had been dating for three years and were recently rumored to be house-hunting together. Khan made her last public appearance with Grant at the Music and Lyrics premiere in New York on Monday. She was also present at the film's London premiere on February 5.

The split must have happened abruptly as Hugh spoke about Jemima during his appearance on "The View," which aired Friday. When Barbara Walter said that Jemima was "pretty attractive and pretty intelligent," Grant said, "I agree with you, I think she's a cracker. She doesn't need my help anyway."
