Elizabeth Hurley to wed March 3

On the same day that her former boyfriend, Hugh Grant split with his girlfriend, Jemima Khan, Elizabeth Hurley has announced her wedding date. The actress will marry her longtime boyfriend, businessman Arun Nayar on March 3 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

News of the wedding was made available to People magazine via a banns that was posted in Cheltenham. A banns is a standard document in the UK that announces a marriage. According to Wikipedia, "The purpose of banns is to enable anyone to raise any legal impediment to it, so as to prevent marriages that are legally invalid, either under canon law or under civil law." A source for People said that Nayar and Hurley worked on the banns with a registrar for about an hour and paid about $58 for the document.

Hurley and Nayar are expected to marry again in India, following their British wedding. The Indian affair will last several days and will be traditional to Nayar's heritage
