Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady baby drama!

There may be a nasty custody battle in store for actress Bridget Moynahan and her ex, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Moynahan announced that she and Brady were expecting a baby together via Liz Smith's New York Post column on Sunday. But according to many sources, Brady had no idea she was about to break the news.

One friend of the football star told Page Six that Moynahan "may have gotten pregnant on purpose. She is 36, wanted a baby, and Tom was dumping her. It's a little suspicious." Another insider said, "Bridget didn't even bother to tell him she was going to go public with this." And one pal told Us Weekly, "[Tom is] disappointed this is how she's decided to play it. She announced it to make him look like a jerk." Still Bridget's rep assured Page Six that Tom was notified before the story went to press. The flack said, "We got calls [about the pregnancy] and confirmed them, but [Tom] did get a heads-up."

The heads-up may have come only hours before the story broke. Brady was on vacation in Paris with his current girlfriend, supermodel Gisele Bundchen on Saturday. They stayed at the Ritz, where hotel sources tell Us that Brady was "taking constant calls on his cell." Though he was anxious, Bundchen was calm about the situation. A witness says, "Whenever he started to look stern, Gisele would give him a kiss and say, 'Stay cool.'"

But sources from the Moynahan camp say Brady shouldn't get all the sympathy in this situation. As one friend told Us, "Around the time he found out, he started being seen with Gisele. Imagine how that felt." And another source close to Bridget echoed the same sentiment to Page Six, stating, "[Tom and Bridget] dated for three years and they broke up in December - right around the time he found out she was pregnant and he immediately started dating Gisele Bundchen. Who's the gross one here?"

Of course, the official statements from Tom and Bridget are overwhelmingly positive about the baby news. His agent said, "Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy. [They] want to thank everyone who has shown support, and particularly for their consideration of Tom's privacy." Meanwhile a friend of Bridget's told People magazine that she is "so excited about the pregnancy. She knows she'll be a great mom."
