After a life filled with controversy, Anna Nicole Smith died in mysterious circumstances last week, aged just 39.
The troubled model-turned-actress spent her final days in a luxury suite at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, where she was found unconscious and without a pulse.
According to preliminary results of an autopsy performed last Friday, the cause and manner of the television celebrity's death were not determined, however, and the investigation remains open, said Dr. Joshua Perper, chief medical examiner of Broward County, Florida reports CNN
"At this time, we do not have the results of the tests that would permit us to make this determination," he said. "Our findings are limited to what we can see with our eyes."

Meanwhile, Anna Nicole Smith's companion Howard K. Stern reportedly earned $1 millon for his exclusive interview with The Insider and Entertainment Tonight following her death. (Stern denies this report reports Star Magazine.) The interview chronicles Howard's flight from Florida to the Bahamas to secure Anna's baby Dannielynn Hope
The interview shows, Howard crying. He says, "I just want her to be with Daniel, I hope that they're happy ... she was such a wonderful person."
"This is the only piece of Anna I have left."
"I wouldn't be here now, but I had to get back to Dannielynn. I know Anna loved her more than anything in the world," he said, reportedly fighting back tears.
Following Smith's death on Thursday, the paternity battle over Dannielynn has heated up: California photographer Larry Birkhead, who has long claimed to be the father of Smith's baby, was denied custody of Dannielynn on Friday, while – in a strange twist – Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband also came forward Friday to suggest that he may be the father of the baby reports People. Another man has also come forward, claiming he might be the father of Anna Nicole's 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn. Anna's former bodyguard, Alexander Denk, tells Extra he was her secret lover and possibly her baby's daddy. "She always told me she wanted to have her kids with me."
Gossips also claim that Anna's dead Billionaire husband and her dead son are also on the list of possibilities
Days before her death, a depressed Anna Nicole Smith was haunted by dreams of her dead son, Daniel, according to an interview she gave just before her death. "I think of him every day, and I dream of him day and every night. He comes to me in my SLEEP, he comes to me in the sky," she told Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, just 11 days before she died. "It's like he's calling me to come to him. He looked like he was scared. Like he's scared and he wants me to come to him."
Also, according to a document filed in Los Angeles Superior Court back in November, Smith's friend, Laurie Payne, said that the one-time Playboy model had take methadone and other drugs while she was pregnant with Dannielyn, now 5-months-old. "[Anna] had pills in 10 mg and 5 mg doses," she said. "In addition, I personally observed that [she] had a different name - not hers - on these methadone pill bottles."
TMZ.com reports Bahamian authorities interviewed Howard K. Stern on Monday to discuss Stern's allegations of a break-in at the Bahamas house in which he's staying. Law enforcement sources also tell TMZ that the cops plan to re-interview Stern about the death of Anna Nicole's son Daniel last September.
In related news, The Tribune of Nassau newspaper ran two photographs of Anna Nicole Smith and the Bahamian immigration minister, Shane Gibson, lying in bed fully clothed in a romantic embrace. The newspaper said the photographs were taken in Smith's bedroom and that it obtained the pictures Sunday from an unidentified source. Gibson has now come under criticism for possibly granting Smith special treatment in gaining residency in the Bahamas last year.
In other news, a 31-second call from the Seminole Police department to Hollywood Police Department requesting assistance for Anna Nicole Smith has been released. "She's not breathing, and she's not responsive. She's, um, actually Anna Nicole Smith," the woman from the Seminole Police is heard saying on the tape. She asks for help in Room 607 of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino — where Smith was found unconscious last Thursday. A woman at the Hollywood Police Department responds, "Oh, OK." Anna was later pronounced at dead a local hospital.
