Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson: It's Over

This past summer, when Kate Hudson was linked to Owen Wilson only days after she announced her separation from husband Chris Robinson, it made headlines. But summer is over now and so is Kate's relationship with Owen, claims Us Weekly.

Distance may have gotten the better of Hudson and Wilson as they were separated for several weeks to film their upcoming projects. An insider told Us, "They have definitely cooled off. She adores him and wishes it had worked out. But it didn't." Owen, however, doesn't seem to be spending any time getting back on the dating scene. A source said, "Owen is calling girlfriends to tell them he is single."

Single mom Kate isn't sitting at home moping, though. "She is exploring everything while trying to get over Owen," a friend said. One of the things Kate is exploring is singer Damien Rice (who was linked to Renee Zellweger in the past). Hudson and Rice attended director Brett Ratner's birthday party together last month. And speaking of parties, Kate threw a big one of New Year's Eve and entertained guests like newly-single hotties Ryan Phillippe and Justin Timberlake. Don't cry for this L.A. woman.
