Benji Madden pops the question

The Madden brothers have had a lot to celebrate lately. While Joel Madden has found rebound love with Nicole Richie after his split from Hilary Duff, his twin Benji has just gotten engaged.

"Benji proposed to [actress] Sophie [Monk] in Australia on Christmas Eve," Monk's rep confirmed to People magazine. The Good Charlotte rocker popped the question with a Neil Lane platinum and diamond ring. "They are very excited and enjoying this time with family and friends," Sophie's rep said.

The couple was first linked in September. They are both 27-years-old and this would be the first marriage for both.

Luckily for Benji, his brother Joel approves of the match. He told People in October, "I love [Benji's] girlfriend. She's so cool. I hang out with her, we have a great time. She's really similar to me – she's very care-free."
