According to Maddox Jolie-Pitt Project executive director Stephan Bognar, Angelina Jolie met with officials from the International Finance Corporation's Mekong Private Sector Development Facility, a privately funded World Bank initiative that promotes economic development in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

Jolie is interested in a project to help subsistence farmers grow and sell bamboo, a business that, Bognar says, could increase their monthly income from $25 to $100-300. Bamboo crops also filter toxins from water and help stem soil erosion.

Internet rumors, said Pitt and Jolie visited Vietnam for another adoption. Pitt was in New Orleans, where he's filming The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and couldn't make the trip.

Said Jolie: "They discussed the idea with me when I was two months pregnant. Feeling very pregnant, I was charmed with the idea of getting naked and dirty and violent in a year or so. It moved off schedule ... but if the schedule works out, it sounds like a fun thing to do."
