Victoria Beckham to star in Tom Cruise's Scientology film

The alliance between celebrity couples Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Victoria and David Beckham is about to go to a whole new level. Victoria is hoping to star in a movie that Tom is working on about Scientology.

The movie is called the Thetan and Victoria is trying to secure the role of the bride of an alien leader (i.e., the titular thetan). According to British newspaper, the Daily Star, Cruise became interested in casting Beckham in the role when he noticed her "comic genius."

A source told the paper, "Victoria is really hoping to make a go of it in Hollywood. This could be the perfect start for her, with good pal Tom Cruise in charge."

If Cruise is really working on a Scientology-themed film, he'd better be careful. The actor's reputation in Hollywood is already on thin ice. Battlefield Earth, John Travolta's box office failure, was the most recent attempt at a Scientology film.
