Miss USA - Tara Conner - given second chance

Miss USA, Tara Conner, has been given a second chance to wear the crown. Many suspected that the 21-year-old would be dismissed from the position amidst rumors of her promiscuity, drug use and underage drinking. Still, Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant has decided to let Tara try to redeem her name.

In a press conference, Trump announced that Conner would be entering a rehab program, but did not specify whether the rehab was for drug or alcohol use. Trump said, "I've always been a believer in second chances. Tara is good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance...After speaking to her I saw not only a beautiful woman, but a beautiful heart. She really, really tried."

Conner, who turned 21 earlier this week, did not think she would get to retain her title. She said, "In no way when I walked into the meeting with [Trump] did I think it would be possible to be given a second chance. You know what he could have said - 'You're fired' - that's what everyone expected, including me."
