Madonna & Guy Ritchie Fighting?

Madonna's plan to adopt a baby girl from Malawi, where she acquired baby David earlier this year, is putting a strain on their six-year marriage to husband, Guy Ritchie reports Page Six. "They've had a difficult time. [David] is beautiful and Guy is very good with him. But I don't think he'd want to adopt again," Guy's dad, John Ritchie, told London's Daily Mail. The dispute came to light two weeks ago when the couple squabbled during dinner at Cecconi's. The Mail reports, "Diners overheard Ritchie attacking the singer for being 'so controlling' while she appeared troubled as she played with her food."

On Nov. 30, The Associated Press reported that the singer and her hubby accepted a High Court ruling allowing a coalition of human rights groups to monitor them as they try to adopt reports Showbuzz.

"The Ritchies called me from London and I explained to them the ruling ... they have no problem with the ruling and are also willing to sit back and wait," Madonna's lawyer told the AP at the time.

Earlier this week, Angelina Jolie said she knew Madonna would run into
trouble by adopting a baby from Malawi - because of the country's uncertain
adoption laws.

She said: "Madonna knows very well that she adopted from a country without
legal adoption, so it was an unusual situation."
