Jennifer Aniston calls Brad Pitt for support

While Brad Pitt's rebound relationship with Angelina Jolie is going strong (they walked the red carpet together for the first time this week for the premiere of Angelina's movie, the Good Shepherd), Jennifer Aniston's rebound with Vince Vaughn has crashed and burned. Dealing with her second major break up in two years has caused Jennifer to do the unthinkable: contact Brad.

According to Us Weekly, Aniston called Pitt after she split with Vaughn for a little comfort. A source said, "She's calling him and saying, 'I just need to talk to you. I'm not doing OK.'" And the phone calls aren't all. Brad has allegedly gone to visit Jennifer as well. Says the insider, "He wanted to make sure she's doing OK. Brad is a decent guy and wanted to be there for her."

Luckily for Jennifer, Angelina is okay with her boyfriend's contact with his ex-wife. She recently admitted to Vogue magazine that Jennifer had been Brad's "best friend" when they were married. Jolie understands that it's hard to let go of a connection like that. She has maintained a friendship with her first husband, Jonny Lee Miller, over the years. A friend of Angelina and Brad told Us, "She is so confident about their relationship that she's encouraged him to go over to see Jen. Angelina feels sorry for her."

Reps for both Pitt and Aniston claim that he has not visited her. Regarding the phone calls, Aniston's rep said, "Jennifer has not called Brad," while Pitt's rep says, "To my knowledge, Brad and Jennifer have not spoken on the phone."
