Friends and family happy for sober Lindsay Lohan

Friends and family who were afraid Lindsay Lohan's reckless lifestyle would potentially cost her, her life, are applauding her recent attempts at sobriety reports NW Magazine.

PageSix reports that Lindsay drank nothing but non-alcoholic drinks while clubbing last week. Lindsay has been seen at various LA hot spots - including Hyde, Chateau Marmont and Social - each time refusing offers of booze.

"I haven't had a drink in seven days," says Lindsay proudly. "I feel better not drinking ... I was out too much. I was too caught up."

The star has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, even revealing last week, "I've been going to AA for a year." And she certainly appears to be making a concerted effort to stay on the straight and narrow.

Although she realizes "it will be a slow process", it looks as though the actress is finally on the road to recovery.

Even with all the partying , Lindsay Lohan has been making it to work on time.

An inside source said, "When the shoot is over, she is going to focus her attention 100 percent on staying sober and building a more fruitful life." Lohan may also move back to New York in a bid to get away from "the toxic L.A. scene with all those toxic people."

Sadly, Lohan seems to be as addicted to those "toxic" people - including her "frenemy" Paris Hilton.. She was out Thursday night partying once again with Hilton.
