It's hard to believe, but Paris Hilton might actually be a bad influence on her buddies. Her newest hanger-on, Britney Spears has become way too interested in clubbing lately to work on her much-anticipated new album. Page Six claims Britney has been explaining her return to nightlife by saying, "I gave birth for 21/2 years, and now I want to party." The partying, however, has kept her from work. An insider told the gossip column that Britney has "been missing recent recording sessions because she has been out all night partying. The label [Jive] is very worried."
Speaking of Britney and Paris, here's the latest on their battle with Lindsay Lohan. Hilton's rep, Elliot Mintz, claims that the Hilton and Lohan had a heart to heart on Sunday. He tells MSN, "Lindsay and Paris had an amicable discussion about some of their differences. They left an after-hours party together…and Lindsay clarified her previous statement. It is my hope that civility and truthfulness will put an end to any discord that has been reported so frequently by others - for reasons known best to them." Later, when Britney, Paris and Lindsay joined forces, Lindsay recanted her claim that Paris had hit her. As seen in video footage obtained by the paparazzi, Paris says to Lindsay, "Lindsay, tell them the truth." Lindsay then told the photogs, "Paris never hit me. She's my friend. Everyone lies about everything…Please leave us alone. We're friends…She's a good girl. She's a nice person…Please, stop trying to make us hate each other."
