Lindsay Lohan will be the face of Miu Miu

Over the past couple of years, Lindsay Lohan has been trying to make the transition from tacky teenager to fashion icon. She started the process by ditching her Britney Spears stage show worthy ensembles and enlisting celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe to assemble a closet full of Marchesa and Marc Jacobs. It seems the hard work has paid off in the form of a highly-coveted ad campaign.

Lindsay has been selected as the face of Miuccia Prada's Miu Miu line. She spent last weekend in London being photographed for the line's Spring 2007 ads. WWD reports that Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were the photographers.

Miu Miu's previous models include Rachel Evan Wood, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore and Chloe Sevigny.
