Rush Limbaugh Slams Michael J. Fox As Fake
Parkinson's is a chronic, progressive disorder of the central nervous system that renders patients increasingly unable to control their movements. In a new TV ad for Missouri Senate challenger Claire McCaskill, Michael J. Fox, was shaking severely shaking reports People Magazine. Limbaugh said on his syndicated radio program Tuesday, "He is moving around and shaking, and it is purely an act." Limbaugh later said on the show, "If this was not an act, then I apologize." He also went on to say, however, that Fox is allowing his illness to be exploited. Fox's rep, John Rogers, called Limbaugh's remarks "shameful," USA Today reports. "It's an appalling, sad statement. Anybody who understands Parkinson's disease knows it's because of the medicine that one experiences" involuntary movements like those Fox shows in the commercial. In the 30-second spot for McCaskill, which has been viewed by more than 1 million people on YouTube.com, the Spin City star, 45, tells voters, "What you do in Missouri matters to millions of Americans. Americans like me."

There has been great stars & great famous people who has this disease including some in congress. Janet Reno is one case. The GOP made fun of her shaking also. I am sure if she thought she could contol it she would have to avoid the jokes & mean & nasty remarks that were tossed her way during her entire time as 'ATTORNEY GENERAL..but that did not stop the filthy jokes.
Leave it to Rush to start these kind of lies.
It is a sad state of American values for a person here in this country to say such things about a disabled thing.
Perhaps it was that boil on his rear-end the one that kept him out of his duty in the Vietnam war.. a hawk & big mouth, easy to send others to go out & die so he can sit on his big fat butt & smoke his nasty cigars & spread lies..
O notice how he has gained lots of his weight back? Ho Ha! that means it was the illegal drugs that was keeping his slim & trim, not the willpower as he bragged upon.
boy this is the " do as I say, not as I do " party the GOD party.

Limbaugh's comments are ludicrous, as well as completely insensitive. It's obviously a sorry attempt by a fat, recovering addict has-been to reclaim the spotlight...

I agree with what others are saying about Limbaugh's lame attempt to throw " barbs" at someone that is trying to do so much to acquire a cure for this terrible desease. My father had Parkinsens and it destroys those you love. What Michael J. Fox is doing to bring attention to this terrible problem, I hope something comes out of his drive of seeking a cure, so myself and others will not become victims of this.
Let Mr. Limbaugh remember that those that live in glass houses do not throw rocks, as one of those rocks may come back on them. I dare say wouldn't it be tragic that in a few years Mr. Limbaugh discovered he had Parkinsens desease.

Rush Limbaugh owes Michael J. Fox a sincere public apology for his insensitive and ridiculous accusations. Making such a comment just shows how truely ignorant Mr. Limbaugh is. This attention-seeking behavior is a sad attempt to get his name in the media. Rush Limbaugh is a pathetic embarassment to America...and obviously a bigger idiot than we ever suspected.

Absolutely classless. Not a suprise coming from Limbaugh, but utterly disgusting nonetheless. Self-character assasination in progress. Only because he IS a character. An ugly, fat and mean cartoon character that eventually gets his. Piss off, Rush.

I have always been a fan of Rush Limbaugh's. Not anymore. Regardless of the type of cure that is being sought, how dare he say that Mr. Fox is "faking" this awful and debilitating disease. Limbaugh just lost a fan.

When conservatives say there's a media bias, this is what they mean. You'll notice the headline accuses Limbaugh of calling Fox's disease "fake" and then the first sentence of the article backs down and uses "exaggerate". This is done intentionally to plant a false impression for people who don't read past headlines.
Fox intentionally goes off his meds to exaggerate his symptoms for greater emotional impact. He admits he does this. But this important fact is omitted from the article because it doesn't support the author's agenda of painting Limbaugh as the devil. This is what Limbaugh pointed out along with a more important discussion of the federal funding of embryotic stem cells.
Wherever you stand of the stemcell issue, you should want all the facts on the table. When there's a huge effort to mislead people into thinking that not using federal funds equals an overall ban on stemcell research, that should bother anyone who cares about the truth.

Why do we not see Mr. Fox moving around like this on his latest shows or on inteviews with talk show hosts?
I agree with Rush, it looks like he is off of his meds or is acting.
Can anyone point out a video that we can see that is not a lib add where Mr. Fox is having this much trouble? I would like to review it on the net.

If Michael J Fox is OFF his Meds he needs to appologize to EVERYONE for NOT stating that important fact. I agree does anyone have a recent video clip of Fox???

Why should anyone care if he went off his meds to show some of what this disease does to you? The point he's making is still valid. People are enduring tremendous suffering and we need to do all we can to help them.
