Don't forget, it's Europe. They are 2 decades behind the USA in terms of fetal safety. I took my daughter, when she was 18 months old to visit my in-laws in Italy and one of my husband's old friends stopped by, went right up to my daughter, took a drag on a cig and exhaled in her face, blowing smoke, while saying, "Isn't she cute". It's pathetic.
