Judge orders arrest of Bobby Brown

A US judge has ordered the arrest of singer Bobby Brown.

The judge in Massachusetts made the decision after the 'My Prerogative' singer
didn't turn up for a court hearing regarding his child support payments to
Kim Ward - the mother of two of his children.

Brown, 37, whose marriage to Whitney Houston is coming to an end, allegedly owes $11,000 (£5,800) in support to children from a former relationship.

Bobby's lawyer Phaedra Parks tried to placate the court official, citing his
split and impending divorce from Whitney Houston as the reason he had not
made the payments reports BBC news.

Parks said: "It's just a very difficult time for him, as you can well imagine.

"The media is very aware of this very public divorce that's going on right now. It's unfortunate we find ourselves back in Boston on this matter."

Massachusetts judge Paula Carey said Mr Brown's current problems did not negate his other responsibilities.

Ms Houston filed for divorce last month after 14 years of often tumultuous marriage to Mr Brown.

Bobby has admitted he is "saddened" by his pending divorce from
Whitney.

According to reports, 'I Have Nothing' singer Whitney has asked for the
custody of their 13-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.
Whitney and Bobby tied the knot in the grounds of her five-acre, $11 million
mansion in New Jersey on July 18 1992.
Divorce proceedings are expected to get underway next month
