Katie Holmes to play Beckham in movie?

Katie Holmes seems to be thrilled by all the time she has been spending with Victoria Beckham lately. But could the actress be doing more than just hanging out with the former Spice Girl? According to ShowBizSpy, Katie may be studying Victoria as well as befriending her.

The website reports that Holmes and her boyfriend, Tom Cruise are interesting in making a movie of Victoria’s husband, David Beckham’s life. In the film, Katie would play Victoria, but Tom would not play David because of their "marked physical differences".

A source revealed, "Tom has a brilliant grasp of what the public want to see and thought David's story was wonderful. At the time Tom was seeing quite a lot of David and Victoria. The quartet are very close friends and the Beckhams would only be happy about their story being used if Tom and Katie were involved."
