The 'Hollerback Girl' singer - who took a break from her career this year to have her first baby with rocker husband Gavin Rosdale - is thrilled by her new sound.
She is quoted by Britain's Daily Record newspaper as saying: "I literally cried when I heard the mash-up. Here we are a year later and it's the first single."
Gwen's second solo album 'The Sweet Escape' is out in December and she is already planning a European tour to promote it.
She said: "The last tour was really challenging as I was pregnant. I'm excited to go out and have the baby on the outside."
